Through A Child's Eyes I rode the prarie, slept under stars at night, My rocket ship was always ready for a flight. I was a pirate where my ship ruled the seas, In my dreams I would be what I wanted to be. I had fortune and fame, a house on the hill, I'd lived in a world, behind my window sill. Pure sweet dreams and a childs wild fantasies, These were in the dreams that I use to see. If the world could be as seen though a child's eyes, We wouldn't have sorrow, no child would ever cry. There wouldn't be color, no-one would put you down. Everyone would live forever and no one would die. Reality and sadness are what rules our world, Where there's pain, with unhappy boys and girls. The world has wars and taxes, bigots and fools, We are living in an age without any any rules. If the world could be as seen though a child's eyes, We wouldn't have sorrow, no child would ever cry. There wouldn't be color, noone would put you down. Everyone would live forever and no one would die. Copyright 2000 By: Glenn Smith (All rights reserved)
