Cigarettes

It wasn't over night it took time,
But the cigarettes ate up my mind.
I get tired if I try to rake leaves,
If I climb stairs, I can't breathe.

After smoking I always feel rough,
When I cough I'll cough up stuff.
Cigarettes have messed up my life,
And now I pay for not living right.

Started smoking when I was young,
My health's gone I got bad lungs.
I've been stupid, and I was dumb.
I am sorry for the smoking I done.

I pray to God they'll see the wrong.
Don't mess up life, lose your health,
Don't feel the way that I have felt.
