Where Are All Our Heroes

Though they just mortal men,
They were heroes in our life.
We read about them in the news,
They taught us what was right.

Many heroes in the past,
Gave us goals to meet.
When the chips were down,
They had faced the heat.

Hoppy, Roy and Gene,
Rode across the screen.
Despite a few cat calls,
We were in awe of it all.
There's to many to mention,
That had got our attention.
Where are all our heroes,
Where did they all go.

When on the silver screen,
They were bigger than life.
They gave many of us dreams.
And taught us what was right.

We wanted to be like these men,
And live our lives like them.
