Mama Taught Me What To Do When I was just a little girl Sitting on my mama's knee She told me special stories That taught me to believe She read the bible to me The blessed word of God She led me to the pathway Down which I would trod. She taught me that the bible Was a dear and precious book She told me how he suffered Of the special life they took She said Jesus died for me So my life could be saved That he bought me my salvation With the life that he gave. Chorus. mama's love was best, She was better than the rest. I found her words were true, Mama taught me what to do. Mama's love was undying Like God's love for His Son If the Lord had earthly Angels, My mother had to be one. God was in all she would say and in everything she'd do Now Mama's home with Jesus And someday I'll be there too. Chorus. My mothers love was best, She was better than the rest I found her words were true, Mama taught me what to do. Mama's love was undying Like God's love for His Son If the Lord had earthly Angels, My mother had to be one. Copyright 2001 By: Judy Fink/Glenn Smith (All rights reserved)
