The News Gives Me Blues Everyday in the paper, I look at all the news. What I read is seldom good, It always leaves me blue. Someone is always dying; there is no peace no where. I read of cheats and lying, There's so many that don't care. Chorus: The news gives me blues, before my readings through What's wrong with you and me, If all the trash is true? I know God is wondering, about all the things we do. He has to be worried, At what we're calling news. If news could make us smile, we might change in awhile, If it didn't make us sad, We wouldn't be feeling bad. The things that we read, are telling us to take heed, I feel the end is near, but do we really care. Chorus: The news gives me blues, before my readings through What's wrong with you and me, If all the trash is true? I know God is wondering, about all the things we do. He has to be worried, whenever he reads the news. Copyright 2001 By: Glenn Smith (All rights reserved)
