The Things I Hide Since I was a young boy, I've kept my feelings hid. At the times I was hurt, I never showed my pain. And now that I've grown up, I've learned the things to do. And anytime I'm hurt, There's nothing that's changed. Chorus: The things that I hide, Are things you won't see. Anytime there's hurt, It is only felt by me. The pain that I feel, I always keep inside. And no one ever knows, When my tears are cried. The kids use to taunt me, When I was in school. They said I was fat, And treated me so cruel. There was nowhere to go, So I withdrew inside. I couldn't show my hurt, And still keep my pride. Chorus: The things that I hide, Are things you won't see. Anytime there's hurt, It is only felt by me. The pain that I feel, I always keep inside. And no one ever knows, When my tears are cried. When the kids had teased me, They didn't see tears I cried. If I had showed my hurt, I wouldn't have my pride. Copyright 2001 by: Glenn Smith (All rights reserved)
