They're Waiting For The Lord Their mind's not the same, if someone calls their name. They're not like they used to be, in all their memories. I know their soul is here, though their mind is not so clear. I'm sure if they could change, They would still be the same. Seeing them is sad, and I know they feel bad, Whenever I hear them cry, I will go and dry their eyes. On the day the Lord comes, Their suffering will be done. And I pray everyday, The Lord is headed their way. Chorus: They're waiting for the Lord, Even though they can't speak, I know their spirit's strong even though their body's weak. They suffers as they do, because they have no choice, I miss the one they were and their soft tender voice. I don't want them to go, because I'll miss them so, But I know what they want, Because they let me know. It's a shame that we suffer in the ways that we do. But Jesus had to suffer on the day he paid our dues. When our vows were read, they're words that we said. But they're words from above that help us show our love. There'll be no nursing home, where they're left all alone, They'll stay here with me, until the Lord takes them home. Chorus: They're waiting for the Lord, Even though they can't speak, I know their spirit's strong even though their body's weak. They suffers as they do, because they has no choice, I miss the one they were and their soft tender voice. Copyright 2001 By: Glenn Smith (All rights reserved)
